Tom Eckersley Graphic Designer

Tom Eckersley

Tom was an English poster designer and taught design. In 1930 he enrolled in Art school to fulfill his dream to becoming a freelance poster designer. At the school he received the Heywood Medal for
Best Student which showed off his skills he had.

His art work is known to be aesthetic and functional and fulfills advertisers criteria. Besides just doing poster work and graphic design for people he also taught it at Westminster School of Art. As time flew rules changed to where in order to put a poster up you had to pay for it so each one he made had to be memorable. Later on in his career he changed up his style and started using geometric forms, shape rather than depth perspective, flat graphic designs, and different use of shadowing, lines, and sizes of elements.
