Charles ( Chip) Kidd
Charles ( Chip) Kidd was born September 12, 1964 in Pennsylvania. He is an editor, author, musician, and graphic designer known for his book cover designs still to this day. Currently works as an associate director in the publishing house in New York City. He has created covers for novels, kids books, and comics. All of Chip's work has his own unique style he says," A signature look is crippling because the simplest and effective solutions aren't dictated by style."
Kidd says ,"Kids love to express themselves, and are designers by nature- whether making posters for school, deciding what to hang in their rooms, or creating personalized notebook covers." This book was created to teach kids and parents how to change things into art and explain your ideas to the world. He gives ways on how to design art and how to take and explore different ways to expand what you want to create,

- he was one of the early pioneers of broadcasting graphics; he helped develop logos and graphics for such shows as "I Love Lucy", "Lassie", and "Gunsmoke"
- he was the first African American to design a U.S. postage stamp.
- he also designed the ClIO STATUETTE.

Alan Aldridge
An English graphic designer and painter. Created covers for bands like Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones
Born June 1,1943 in London, England. His first time painting was at the Old Vic where it became his obsession from then on.
Worked for the Sunday Times magazine and for Penguin books. He didn't have that much education after leaving school at 14yrs old. He took what he loved andmade it career.
Called " Beardsley in Blue Jeans "
